Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Welcome to Morocco! Meet your Amazigh guide dressed in traditional attire. Check into your
charming riad and enjoy a welcome dinner. Brief introduction to the journey ahead.
Day 2: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Zagora
Depart Marrakech and drive through the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m). Visit a women’s argan oil
cooperative. Explore the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. Continue to Ouarzazate and arrive
in Zagora for overnight stay.
Day 3: Zagora – Tamegroute – Desert Villages – Merzouga
Visit the ancient library and green pottery workshops in Tamegroute. Travel through scenic desert
landscapes, meet Amazigh families along the way, and arrive at your desert camp in Merzouga.
Enjoy music around the fire.
Day 4: Merzouga – Immersive Desert Experience
Camel ride at sunrise. Participate in a tea ceremony, then engage with local Amazigh women in
daily tasks. Relax in the dunes, enjoy traditional cuisine, and end the day with stargazing and
Amazigh rhythms.
Day 5: Merzouga – Todgha Gorges – Tinghir – Dades Valley
Depart Merzouga towards the stunning Todgha Gorges. Visit a women’s carpet weaving cooperative
in Tinghir. Continue to Dades Valley and settle in for a peaceful mountain evening.
Day 6: Dades Valley – Cooking Workshop – Kasbah Othran – Valley Views
Start your day with an Amazigh cooking workshop. Visit the Kasbah Othran and enjoy a panoramic
view of the M’Goun Valley. Dinner and storytelling night at your guesthouse.
Day 7: Dades – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Journey back to Marrakech via the southern route. Free time for optional shopping or hammam.
Enjoy a farewell Amazigh henna ceremony and group dinner.
Day 8: Departure from Marrakech
Transfer to the airport. Depart with your heart full and spirit uplifted by the stories, songs, and
strength of the Amazigh women.
